The coin's reverse features Marco Polo, known for his travels along the Silk Road and his detailed accounts of the cultures and civilizations he encountered, which were compiled in his book "The Travels of Marco Polo." Polo's travels played a significant role in expanding Europeans' knowledge of Asia and helped to stimulate interest in further exploration of the region. Always on the same side we find the inscription "0.5 g .999 FINE GOLD" - the weight of the coin and fineness of the Gold. The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of Congo and the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO" - the country of issue, "2024" - the year of issue and "100 FRANCS CFA" - the face value.
