The intricate symbols behind him tell the stories of ancient Egyptian beliefs and rituals, depicting scenes of Pharaohs being prepared for the journey to the underworld. The coin has areas selectively gilded in Gold and Black Platinum. On the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Benin, along with the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU BENIN" - the issuing country, "1000 FRANCS CFA" - the face value and "2024" - the year of issue.
