The reverse of the coin depicts adragon rising from the surface with impressive detail, a realistic image that is brought to life through a distinct 3D feel. Surrounding the legendary creature are intricate motifs of smaller dragons. The pattern itself is an outstanding piece of work, its design is drawn with inspiration from the caisson ceilings of the Forbidden City. The coin is struck with a new minting technique called "Bi-Metal Plus", which combines 4.5 Oz of Copper embodied within two layers of 999 Silver totaling 1 Oz, to deliver a super Ultra-High Relief topped with Silver Antiqued Finishing. The obverse of the coin has an intricate pattern with dragons, floral and abstract elements and, at the center, the Coat of Arms of Chad with the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD" – the issuing country, "5000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value and "2023" – the year of issue.
