The reverse of the coin depicts a caisson ceiling of the Forbidden City, used only in important Chinese buildings due to its complexity in design and execution. The reverse has an intricate geometric design featuring a dragon at its center, symbol of power, luck and strength. The piece also includes Chinese Phoenix designs which symbolize peace and harmony and detailed bats which symbolize health, prosperity, and long life. The 2 Oz Silver coin is struck in a new minting technique that combines 33.5 Oz of Copper in between two layers of Fine Silver, resulting in super ultra-High Relief. The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of Chad and the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD" – the issuing country, "10000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value and "2022" – the year of issue.
