The reverse of the coin depicts a beautiful image of the Sikhote-Alin Meteorite, an iron meteorite fell on the Sikhote-Alin Mountains, in southeastern Russia, in 1947. Though large iron meteorite falls had been witnessed previously and fragments recovered, never before in recorded history had a fall of this magnitude been observed. On the reverse of the coin, the inscriptions: "METEORITE SIKHOTE-ALIN 1947" - the name of the coin, "2020" - the year of issue and "1OZ AG 999" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "5 CEDIS" – the face value, "1OZ AG 999" – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver, "REPUBLIC OF GHANA" – the issuing country, "2020" – the year of issue.
