He is known as a warrior angel who battles against evil forces, including the serpent or dragon, representing Satan or evil itself and protects humanity. Saint Michael is depicted with a sword, symbolizing his role as a protector and defender of the faith. He is also considered the leader of the heavenly army and is invoked for protection against spiritual and physical harm. On the reverse we see also the inscription "Archangel Michael" - the name of the coin.
