Colour: Bright yellow, orange or red plates on the upper surface, separated by white or yellow lines.
Habitat: Rocky reefs and sheltered bays from Shark Bay in Western Australia, around Australia's southern and eastern coasts to the southern coast of Queensland.
Diet: Biscuit stars feed on a variety of organisms including sea squirts, sponges, bryozoans (lace coral) and algae.

Interesting Sea Star Facts:
Sea stars have no heart or brain. Instead they have a unique vascular system, and system of interconnecting nerves. An 'eye' on the end of each arm detects light and dark.
