The reverse of the coin depicts a crowded group of penguins, represented facing one direction with all their beaks pointing toward the destination of their Majestic March. Some details of the anatomy of the penguins are plated in yellow and pink Gold, conferring a sense of refinement and sophistication. The obverse of the coin shows the whole figure of one single penguin, walking on floating ice. All around the main central figure, the inscriptions: "MAJESTIC MARCH PATTERNS OF NATURE" – the name of the coin, "1 KG .999 AG" the weight and the fineness of the Silver and the Coat of Arms of Benin, containing the information regarding the face value and year of issue.
