Florence Cathedral
The building history of this unique masterpiece began in the 13th century. After several discontinuities the cathedral was completed in the year 1434 when the dome, which is an architectural masterpiece, was finished. Thereafter further labour such as painting the dome interior was accomplished. Even today the dimensions are very impressive. With over 160 m in length, a façade height of 50 m and the domes diameter of over 45 m the cathedral is the landmark of Florence to this very day.

Chapel Bridge
The Chapel Bridge, the oldest covered wooden bridge, is the most famous sight of the city Lucerne in Switzerland. It served as a defensive corridor and was built in 1365. After completion the bridge which is now over 204 m long was 75 m longer. It was shortened by that length when the river bank was backfilled in 1835. The bridge is unique because of its 111 triangle pictures of which nearly 80 were destroyed in the firestorm in April 1993. Europe’s second longest covered wooden bridge was immediately reconstructed and is open to pedestrian traffic again since 1994.

Canadian National Tower
The 553 m high television tower is the landmark of the Canadian city Toronto. The CN Tower received its abbreviation from the Canadian National Railways, the Canadian railway company who, together with other societies, had the tower erected. The start of construction works was in 1973. Three years later the CN Tower was opened to public. Since the opening of the tower renovations have been carried out repeatedly for example the insertion of a huge glass floor. The tower also includes a revolving restaurant. The Canadian National Tower is currently the third highest television tower on earth.
