The reverse of the coin depicts a young Marten on a tree branch. The Marten lives in the Canadian forests and grow up as a solitary hunter and agile forager, but before reaching four months of age, the Marten is reliant on is mother. On the reverse the inscriptions: “CANADA” – the country of issue and “2023” – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts the Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "D-G-REGINA" - Dei Gratia Regina, the Latin motto and "10 DOLLARS" – the face value.
