The reverse of the coin features a mountain goat looking out from perilous heights in this wildlife portrait by Canadian artist Pierre Leduc, its hooves solid on the steep rocky ledge. In the background, one of countless Canadian mountains rises above an alpine valley where a river flows. Selective colour brings added dimension to the alpine trees, rocky ledge and mountain goat in the foreground. Its signature black horns, short tail, shaggy coat, and burly build are unmistakeable in this exquisitely detailed design. On top of the reverse, the inscriptions: "20 DOLLARS" – the face value and "2018" – the year of issue.
