SPHINX Egyptian 2 Oz Silver Coin 2$ Niue 2025
This haunting 2 Oz Silver coin is a myth reborn. The Sphinx emerges here as a dark fusion of ancient Egypt and post-apocalyptic vision, seated in silence beneath a radiant golden disc, with wings spread behind her like a warning carved into time. Sacred. Disturbing. Unforgettable. The familiar guardian of riddles is transformed into something mechanical, wounded, and eternal, wrapped in Antique Finish and heightened by enamel accents and UV effects that deepen its surreal power. It comes in a pyramid shaped box, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of only 299 pieces worldwide.

The reverse of this Silver coin depicts a striking reinterpretation of the Sphinx. At the center, the mythical creature appears seated in solemn stillness, with the body of a beast and the presence of a forgotten deity. Its head is crowned with a pharaonic headdress in golden tones, yet the face is hidden behind a gas mask with round eyepieces and trailing tubes, turning the ancient guardian into a vision of decay, survival, and enigma. Behind it, great wings open to the left and to the right, while a luminous golden disc fills the background. To the right, a wall of reddish-brown bricks breaks the harmony of the scene, adding tension and ruin to the composition. At the bottom right of the reverse, the inscription: "Sphinx" - the name of the coin. The obverse of this coin presents the Public Seal of Niue at the center, framed by a classical ornamental border running all around the rim. In the background, faint engraved figures echo the world of ancient myth. Around the obverse, the inscriptions: "999 FINE SILVER" - the fineness of the Silver, "NIUE" - the issuing country, "TWO DOLLARS" - the face value, and "2025" - the year of issue. At the center, within and below the seal, also the inscriptions: "PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE" - the issuing authority, and "ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI" - the national motto.
