The reverse of the coin has a concave shape, like a fondue pot and features a cooked egg adorned with the four essential elements used to cook. On the top right of the reverse, the inscriptions: "50 euro" – the face value and "2017" – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin presents Guy Savoy's right hand print, covered with drawings of ingredients used to cook and the inscriptions: "LA CUISINE EST L'ART DE TRANSFORMER INSTANTANÉMENT EN JOIE", "DES PRODUITS CHARGÉS D'HISTOIRE" and "GUY SAVOY" – the name of the Chef and of the coin.
