Description
The reverse of this Silver coin recreates the 1673 Potosí galano with exceptional clarity. At its center appears the quartered shield of Castile and León within a four-lobed tressure, complete with the crowned escutcheon and castle-and-lion quadrants. The mintmark "P", assayer's initial "E", and date "673" are shown exactly as on the original. Encircling the design is the legend "CAROLVS II DG HISPANIARVM REX", together with the modern inscriptions "ESPAÑA 2025" and "8 REALES 1673 POTOSÍ", framing this refined tribute to Spanish colonial coinage. The obverse features the iconic Pillars of Hercules from the 1673 Potosí galano, rising above stylized waves. Between the columns appear the mintmark "P", the denomination "8", the assayer's initial "E", and the motto PLV • SVL • TRA, with the historic date "73" below. The surrounding legend "POTOSÍ ANO 1673 EL PERV" is faithfully rendered, while the inscriptions "10 EURO" and "JOYAS DEL MUSEO CASA DE LA MONEDA" complete this elegant homage to one of Potosí's finest strikes.
