Issued by St Helena, the fine silver coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse with a beautifully designed peacock on the reverse. The peacock is the national bird of India and represents beauty, grace, pride and mysticism. A symbol of prosperity, love, compassion, soul and peace, it is considered sacred in India and China. In India it is believed that Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom uses it as her mount.
