The reverse of this Silver coin features some Ichthyosaurus, the one in the foreground being gorgeously colored in a wonderfully realistic way. In the background, a Jurassic sea-wilderness. At the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: "ICHTHYOSAURUS" - the name of the coin. The obverse of this Silver coin depicts the Public Seal of Niue surrounded by a skeleton. All around the obverse, the inscriptions: "1 DOLLAR" – the face value, "2024" - the year of issue, and "PREHISTORIC WORLD" – the name of the series.
