Coral Hind
This dazzling grouper has starred in countless reef calendars and is a commendable aquarium fish, virtually “bulletproof” and staying relatively small (for a grouper)—but still requiring a good-size home. The Coral Hind is a voracious predator that will eat any fish or crustacean it can swallow (do not underestimate the size of its mouth or the speed with which it can attack). It is especially adept at ingesting long, skinny fish. (Lyretail Anthias are this species’ favorite prey in the wild.) Keep one per tank, as conspecifics are likely to quarrel. It can be housed with other smaller groupers if the tank is extra large.

The reverse of this cooper silver plated coin features a beautiful Coral Hind, a fish which captures your eye and draws you closer, movement makes the colors shimmer and dance like sunlight on clear water. The color of the fish is red with orange and makes contrast with the Silver. The coin obverse depicts the Coat of Arms of Republic of Palau and the face value – “1 Dollar” and “2016” – the issue year.
