How many times have you found yourself discussing your preferences with your friends? Most of the time, the discussion has a fun twist and is about differences in taste: dark chocolate or milk chocolate? Americano or espresso? Shower or bath? Besides these fun arguments, I am sure that in the past months, many of you have had heated discussions about a very hot topic: Money Heist or Squid Game?

MONEY HEIST vs SQUID GAME

Money Heist and Squid Game are two of the most famous and successful shows on Netflix, the first is a Spanish heist-drama, while the other is a survival show based in South Korea. Although most of you liked both these shows, groups emerge when deciding which of the two shows is the best.

You don’t expect me to solve this hot dispute, do you?

I think that is impossible to determine which show is the best as a lot depends on personal taste. However, although the two shows may appear different from each others, they actually present the same theme of financial inequality and both have inspired protests around the globe.

How is it possible? Just think about it! Squid Game portrays the social life and conditions of South Korea, where the poor are living in miserable conditions, while the rich enjoy their life to the fullest; Money Heist not only presents the theme of financial inequality, but it also takes it to the next level, targeting the Government of Spain for the financial inequality in the nation and inspiring protests within the show, as well as in the real world.
