Rendered in rich colour printing, the creature is surrounded by seaweed and coral, reinforcing its deep connection to the marine realm. Golden ornamental elements, including a crown and decorative motifs at the bottom of the composition, enhance the regal and mythical character of the scene, while a band of gold runs around the edge of the coin. When illuminated under UV light, hidden colours emerge and the Hippocampus appears to glow, creating the impression that the creature is leaping from the coin itself. The year of issue "2026" and the inscription "HIPPOKAMP" are integrated into the design.
