The reverse of this coin depicts the close-up face of a seal emerging from the water, captured in a frontal composition of striking tenderness and immediacy. At the center, the animal's rounded muzzle, dark eyes, and fine whiskers are rendered with delicate sculptural detail, giving the portrait an almost lifelike presence. All around the seal, a swirling ring of intense blue water frames the face like a liquid halo.
