The reverse design is by award-winning Mint sculptor Wojciech Pietranik and captures the spirit of Australia. A single kangaroo poised to hop is featured against the outback horizon at dusk. This iconic animal of Australia is to the right of the waning sun, creating a reflective shadow of the roo in the ground. The obverse features Ian Rank Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
