Kainsaz meteorite
Fifteen pieces of the Kainsaz meteorite were seen to fall near Kainsaz, Muslyumovo, Tatarstan in the 13th September, 1937. The largest weighed 102.5 kilograms (226 lb), the total weight was 200 kilograms (440 lb).
Kainsaz is classified as a CO3.2 in CO group. The group is part of the CM-CO clan and a member of the carbonaceous chondrites which are said to be older than the Solar system.
The Kainsaz Meteorite is among the few CO3 meteorites suitable to be prospected for with a metal detector. The meteorite contains a total 25.56 % percent of iron.

The design incorporates a transparent half-circle locket containing real pieces of Kainsaz's meteorite. The coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse. Each coin has been individually numbered and is therefore unique!
