In the coin reverse there is an image of a golden snake framed with a ring of Burmese Jade, the outer edge of the silver coin is ornate with two snakes and golden Chinese word from the traditional Chinese chronology, which means "2013". The obverse coin depicts the coat of arms of the Lao People's Democratic Republic with the nominal value inscribed below the image.
