On the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: "Mary Celeste" - the ship name and "Ghost Ship" - the name of the series. The coin's obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "Niue" – the issue country, "2013" – the issue year, "One Dollar" - the face value.
