The reverse of the coin features nine cut-outs and each one of them depicts a dragon from the Nine-Dragon Wall. Number nine is considered a supreme number symbolizing recognition, respect and longevity. On the bottom, the inscription: "Ag999" – the fineness of the Silver. The obverse of the coin features the Hall of Supreme Harmony as background of an ornament derived from the Forbidden City and the inscriptions: "2017" – the year of issue, "500 FRANCS CFA" – the face value and "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" – the issue country.
