Description
The coin reproduces a portrait of Anders Celsius and his name where the letter C of his last name is preceded by the symbol °, a convention to indicate the Centigrade or Celsius degrees. The design is completed by a thermometer and the years that recall the anniversary of the death. The real peculiarity of the coin is, however, a real working thermometer incorporated into the coin that will display the current temperature if between 14 and 32 °C. On the obverse there is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value and the issuing Country.
